How it works
Before You Purchase
To ensure the best results from remote tuning, please review the following requirements before placing an order:
-
Vehicle Condition
The vehicle must be mechanically sound with no known pre-existing issues (misfires, fuel system problems, transmission faults, sensor errors, etc.). Vehicles requiring troubleshooting, diagnosis, or cleanup of a previous tune should select the appropriate diagnostic or tune cleanup service. -
HP Tuners Interface
A valid HP Tuners interface device (MPVI series) is required. -
Laptop & Software
A laptop capable of running HP Tuners VCM Suite, with the latest software installed. -
HP Tuners Licensing
Proper licensing for the vehicle being tuned must be available prior to tuning. -
Vehicle & Modification Information
Accurate knowledge of the vehicle’s setup, including engine, transmission, gearing, tire size, and all performance modifications and injectors. -
Data Logging Capability (for custom tuning)
Ability to safely perform data logs and follow provided logging instructions. -
Reliable Communication
Access to email for file delivery, logging instructions, and revision communication.
Remote Tuning Process
Remote tuning requires an HP Tuners interface, HP Tuners VCM Suite software, and the appropriate license for the vehicle being tuned. To begin, select and purchase the tuning option that fits your needs. After purchase, download and complete the customer information form, then email it along with your order number and the stock calibration file read from your vehicle using HP Tuners. Once all required information is received, your calibration will be built based on your vehicle, modifications, and goals. Depending on the tuning option selected, we may contact you with questions or recommendations before sending your revised tune via email. For full custom tuning, data logs will be collected using provided configuration files, and revisions will be made as needed to refine performance, drivability, and reliability.
Duramax Tuning – Consultation Required
Duramax tuning services are offered on a case-by-case basis and require consultation prior to purchase. All diesel calibrations are developed with reliability, drivability, and emissions-compliant operation in mind. We do not offer or support emissions removal, defeat devices, or calibrations intended to bypass factory emissions systems. Customers interested in Duramax tuning must contact us first to discuss their vehicle configuration, goals, and intended use before any services are purchased. This ensures the tuning approach is appropriate, compliant, and aligned with both customer expectations and current regulations.
